June Windon was born and brought up in what is now the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. June left school as soon as she could to start her career and worked in Hatton Garden before finding a role she loved in the freight shipping industry.

A holiday to Ibiza resulted in a complete change in June’s life. Following the end of a long relationship, she decided to travel and enjoy life a little without realising that she should bump into the man who would become her husband. June left everything behind for a new life in Granada - a new husband, two step-children, a very different culture and no career.

Although still very British at heart, June loves her life here in Andalucia and has forged a deeply embedded new role with her Spanish family.
