We should be reminded of the need to\\n"de-spectacularise" the church. Jesus declared that God\\u2019s Kingdom comes\\nquietly, invisibly - spreading its influence like yeast in dough. But\\nthe corporate model of church growth is bigger crowds, bigger\\nbuildings, and bigger TV networks, etc. This seems distinctly contrary\\nto the Lord\\u2019s view.

I wonder if 2 Corinthians 12:9-10\\ndoes not hold the key to this dilemma\\u2026 Each time Jesus said, \\u201cMy grace\\nis all you need. My power works best in weakness.\\u201d So now I am glad to\\nboast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through\\nme. That\\u2019s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults,\\nhardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For\\nwhen I am weak, then I am strong (New Living Translation).
