Bryant Lee and Andrew Tjang, Founders of Cognition IP - LegalTechLIVE - Episode 059

Cognition IP is a new-style law firm that helps clients more efficiently create and file patents and deal with other kinds of patent and intellectual property law. But instead of relying on the endless man hours for lawyers trying to figure out if a patent is already out there, Cognition IP leans on algorithms to create a kind of topic graph around a subject and see if anyone’s filed something on it already. We had a nice conversation with Bryant Lee and Andrew Tjang, the founders of the firm and legal technology company. Cognition IP is a YCombinator alum and recent recipient of $2.8M in seed funding. Learn more about them in this interview. We were joined once again by Hannah Konitshek of Legal.io, as our starring co-host. In fact, the idea to interview Cognition IP came from Hannah!
