What is a URL?

Published: Oct. 15, 2020, noon

URL is the abbreviation for Uniform Resource Locator. URLs are the addresses that specify the location of web pages, audio files, images, videos, and other files on the World Wide Web. You use URL's every day when you enter the name of a website or web page in your Internet browser, or when you click on a link.
