Alberto Ferreras is an author, screenwriter, playwright, photographer, and director. He is the creator and director of the HBO series Habla, as well as the writer and director of The Lessons, a series of short films which screened at a number of film festivals and is available on YouTube. He also wrote the play Hamlet in Harlem, a unique take on Latinos and Shakespeare. Born in Spain and raised in Venezuela, he has been a New Yorker for the past few decades.
