On this episode of LatinEQUIS, I speak with Merced Elizondo, a filmmaker with a fairly young career but who is already a powerful artist. Once you watch his short film, Manos de Oro, you\'ll understand what I mean. The film stars Julio Cesar Cedillo, who you might have seen on Netflix\'s Narcos, Sicario, Cowboys and Aliens and more. Most recently, Manos de Oro was selected to compete as part of HBO\'s Latinx Short Film competition where it will compete for one of three spots for a distribution deal to stream on all HBO platforms. Merced and I talk about Manos de Oro, mental health, the film industry, and more.
