The power of talk radio, as opposed to television, is still underrated as a driver of right-wing ideology in the United States and Australia. Paul Matzko argues in a new book called The Radio Right, that talk radio is turning millions of Americans into conservatives after studying the audience of 15 top talk radio programs. While talk radio might face an ageing audience, a decline in advertising revenue and competition from new forms of media, there are still millions of listeners whose politics are shaped by what they hear on the radio every day.
