In its long life, the historic house Labassa has been home to industrialists, Jewish refugees, single women seeking respectability and a whole generation of artists and musicians who were inspired by its grandeur and its cheap rent. Now owned by the National Trust, this magnificent house, has been restored to some of its former glory. Vicki Shuttleworth and Lex Marinos tell just some of the stories of Labassa.
