Local News - Justice Sandra Day O'Connor Emphasizes the Need for Civic Education
On April 30, 2012 Sandra Day O'Connor, the first woman appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court, joined Baylor University President Ken Starr for his On Topic Series. During their conversation, she stressed the need for civic education in the United States arguing that the focus has shifted to math and science at the expense of civics.
