It was Game No. 8 of the spring trip for the Cougars. That brings the team's record to 4-4. Freshman LHP Zane Gonzalez pitched a complete game shut out for the Cougars while only allowing 5 hits. Valley's offense came alive with the big hit coming on Keegan Marsden's 3 RBI double in the bottom of the 6th. Tyler Trammell added 3 RBIs along with 2 RBIs each from Kevin Phelps and Ryan Slaughter. KVCC will finish the trip with a Friday double header against Lincoln Land CC (IL) at 1:30 PM in Winter Haven, FL.
