Deadline reports that Tessa Thompson is set to executive produce two big book adaptations \\u2014 Who Fears Death and The Secret Lives of Church Ladies \\u2014 under an HBO and HBO Max first-look deal with her new production company, Viva Maude. The Sylvie\\u2019s Love and Westworld star launched Viva Maude with a two-year deal with the WarnerMedia-owned cable network and streaming service right out of the gate. Russell\\u2019s forthcoming feature for New Regency, Deadline has confirmed that Robert De Niro, Mike Myers, Timothy Olyphant, Michael Shannon, Chris Rock, Anya Taylor-Joy, Andrea Riseborough, Matthias Schoenaerts and Alessandro Nivola have joined the starry ensemble.

Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, John David Washington, Rami Malek and Zoe Saldana also will star in the untitled project, which is based on an original idea from the five-time Oscar-nominated filmmaker.  Cinemark shares gained 1% to close at $19.11, their highest level since last June, after a resounding vote of confidence from veteran exhibition analyst Eric Wold of B. Riley.

Wold upgraded Cinemark shared to \\u201cbuy\\u201d from \\u201cneutral\\u201d and doubled his price target to $28. In a note to clients, the analyst said he held a \\u201cfireside chat\\u201d with the management of the major theater circuit earlier this week, a conversation that informed his bullish turn.
