Today we review Children of Men a film by Alfonso Calderon released in 2006. Starring Clive Owen and Julianne Moore. A fantastic film that combines futuristic dystopian future with a grand vision. Truly one of the finest films released in the last two decades. And truly topical for the world we live in today.

On its surface Children of Men is a story about Escape. It\'s story takes its characters through many situations and scenes that are horrific. and we are thrust on a journey that takes those characters through those situations to an eventual hopeful conclusion. An achievement in filmmaking the likes of which I had never seen open to the point in 2006 when this movie was released. Alfonso Calderon crafted a film that is both a master work of small detail and sub textual Grand Design.

Alfonso Calderon crafted a film about the worst of humanity and about the escape from that reality into a much brighter more hopeful reality.
