We're watching Ferris Bueller's Day Off

Finally, the chance to share some 80's love for the legend that is John Hughes with my kids.  The music.  The style.  The emotions of friendship, preparing for college, giving your eyes to Stevie Wonder, an uncertain future, and the question of how to get the mileage down on a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California are all in here.

As awesome as this film is to me (Dad), and its place in time and my memories, does it still affect the 'youth' of today.  With the like of Riverdale, 13 Reasons Why and Sex Education all dealing with the emotions of school today, can Hughes still connect with teenagers?.  It's still an amazingly well made film, with great direction, camera work and acting - no doubt about that, but you'll need to listen in to find our what the kids made of it.

Enjoy
