Scott talks to Dr. Denise Faustman of Harvard Medical School and the Immunobiology Lab at Massachusetts General Hospital about her research into the BCG vaccine and its role in regulating T cells in the immune system. Dr. Faustman discusses her Phase 1 and Phase 2 trials and the effects this vaccine has had on blood sugar for the Type 1 diabetic participants. She explains the goals of her research and what her team has learned so far in the early trials.
