Sanjay Rao, hailing from a low-income farmer's family from the village of Jhunjhunu in Rajasthan. His parents knew the hunger for food but Sanjay Rao’s hunger for education was far beyond the physical need to fill his stomach. 
 
There were several days when he would go to school come back and help father in farming and take cattle for grazing. His passion for education and to become successful was always remarkable. 

He faced several failures and problems but turned those failures to success. 

He started his IIT JEE preparation to enter IIT, preparing for months he faced failure in clearing the IIT JEE, but he did not give up and doubled his IIT JEE preparation, and finally cracked IIT JEE exam. 

After doing IIT, he was not satisfied. He started his UPSC preparation for civil services, and gave his first mains exam in 2014 and again faced failure in 2 attempts but he kept trying and finally cracked UPSC and became an IRS officer.
