Published: Oct. 29, 2020, 11:11 a.m.

On this morning's of #LetsTalk with Zoe Machunga, we explored a media perspective to the comment by Lai Mohammed on social media regulations, lessons from the #EndSARS protest as well as the aftermath of the looting spree.

Zoe was joined by the Chairman of the National Union of Journalist, Plateau state chapter, Mr Paul Jatau and a veteran Journalist with Reality newspaper, Valentine Adese.

Mr Jatau stressed the need for citizens to leverage fact checking platforms as a way to curb misinformation. He also encouraged journalists to always give fair and credible reportage.

According to Mr Adese, it's not wise for the government to charge the said hoodlums to court, he encouraged them to use another approach.

The youth must take charge but we have to avoid chaos by all means. In Zoe's words, always verify information before sharing.
