193. Mental Health Habits : Express How I Feel, Becoming An Optimist Thought Coach, Edit My Peers & Content Consumption Awareness

This isn\\u2019t a podcast to chat about it because \\u201ceveryone is talking about it\\u201d.\\xa0This is a podcast to talk about it because it\\u2019s real shit.\\xa0I\\u2019ve had my own personal journey with high highs and low lows and it\\u2019s been quite a ride.\\xa0Over the years I\\u2019ve gotten much better at being aware of what benefits my mental health and what hurts it.\\xa0Today I want to discuss why it\\u2019s important that we speak up & seven habits that I have found to be beneficial to my personal mental health.\\xa0 Disclaimer : I am by no means an expert, this episode is purely me speaking on my experiences. We all have beautiful minds, lets learn to take care of them.

7 habits that help my mental health :

  • 1 : Daily sweat. Not only does it help my physical but also my mental fitness. Every day the workout may be different in what I\\u2019m doing or how long but I try to get in something.
  • 2 : Meditation. Just 10 minutes a day has allowed me to be more in control of emotions like anger, jealously, sadness, frustration & more.\\xa0
  • 3 : Healthy diet. Eating clean foods & drinking liquids that are good for me help me keep a clear mind. Burgers, fries, high sugar drinks or alcohol completely changes my mood which impacts my mental health.\\xa0
  • 4 : Express How I Feel. Whether it\\u2019s talking to someone, writing in a journal, speaking my mind on a podcast or sharing something on social media, it\\u2019s crucial that I let out exactly what\\u2019s on my mind.
  • 5 : Becoming An Optimist Thought Coach. Even when life is going perfectly, I can slip and fall into a dark hole. The best way to for me to dig myself out is positive thoughts and self compassion for myself.\\xa0
  • 6 : Edit your peers. By being very aware and taking note of how people make me feel, I then am able to eliminate those who do not bring positive & optimistic energy into my life.\\xa0
  • 7 : Content consumption. By being aware of what I am consuming in the media, I can make sure my time, energy and attention isn\\u2019t going towards things that impact my mental health negatively.\\xa0
