This week we have Yasmeen Yahya back on the show to talk about first generation guilt and how it makes every life decision a little bit harder. First-gens have to balance independence with our parents' expectations. These expectations are usually formed around the traditional values and collective ideologies that they grew up with, and if you go against any them...then shame! 

Edeliz and Yasmeen discuss what first-gen guilt means to them and how they're trying to manage it. Rather than being an extension of our immigrant parents, we're working on embracing the best parts of them and becoming our own person.
