Featured speaker Rachel Nathanson is a first year law student at The University of Iowa College of Law. She previously attended The University of Iowa as an undergraduate student and during her junior year was selected as a Harry S. Truman Scholar for her commitment to pursue a career in public service. Upon graduation with double Bachelor's degrees in economics and geography, Nathanson participated in the Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation's Summer Institute, obtaining a research internship with the World Bank Inspection Panel. She is pursuing a career in environmental and international law and development and has spent time studying in Latin America. The Iowa City Foreign Relations Council (ICFRC) is a non-profit community organization that seeks to promote understanding of international issues by hosting community forums with informed speakers from around the world.
