ICFRC: The Artists and the Haitian Art Relief Fund

Edouard Duval Carrie' presents a selection of his recent productions and also talks about the different aspects of his activities in the general relief efforts made after Haiti's devastating earthquake in 2010 as well as his role as curator of several major Caribbean exhibits. Artist and sculptor Edouard Duval Carrie' was born in Haiti in 1954. He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Loyola in Montreal, Quebec, Canada in 1978. He also studied at Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux Arts in Paris France, McGill University, and the University of Montreal. He has presented his work in multiple solo exhibitions and group exhibitions around the world. His work is in the public collections of numerous museums around the world including the Davenport Museum of Art. Edouard's work has been featured in many articles in the New York Times, The Miami Herald, San Juan Star, and countless others. He has had many public commissions and has completed many cover illustrations and posters for different events around the world. Edouard has received awards including the Southern Arts Federation Visual Art Fellowship and South Florida Cultural Consortium Visual Art Fellowship. He currently lives in Miami, Florida.
