South Wastewater Treatment Facility Opening September 19, 2014

The 'Opening of the Gates' for clean, treated wastewater at the City of Iowa City's South Wastewater Treatment Facilities was celebrated September 19th, 2014. The two-year reconstruction project was the largest the City Public Works has undertaken. Cost of project was approximately 50 million dollars and will serve the Iowa City community's population growth for the next thirty years. Mayor Matt Hayek dedicates the upgraded faciity at the ceremony.

The final part of this video is a tour by Shaun Bradbury and family at the open house on September 20, 2014. Mr. Bradbury is the Special Project Administrator for Public Works Dept. of Iowa City, and supervised construction at the site.
