Part of the 2023 Climate Fest events, Johnson County Public Health, the Your Best Lawn program, and 100Grannies sponsored this forum that offered information related to hot spots, heat illness, and heat preparedness. The event featured a video of Iowa City's Spot the Hot Urban Heat Mapping campaign. Also, Tim Gross, a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Climatologist from the local National Weather Service station, explained the preliminary data that was collected.
