Animal Center Construction Update August 6, 2014
This program is a Sights and Sounds construction update on the new Animal Care and Adoption Center. Shaun Bradbury, Special Projects Administrator for the City of Iowa City Engineering Division, will guide us as the facility is being built. Future updates will follow as the project progresses. The flood of 2008 destroyed the Animal Center and forced the Animal Center to move to a temporary facility. On July 17th the groundbreaking ceremony for the new facility took place. Construction on the site began on July 29th and on August 1st the footings were prepared for concrete.
