THE SECOND COMING by Daniel F. Lamb

This is the story of the life and times of Bobby McGee, a young man growing up in a rural Florida Panhandle town. His father, the Reverend McGee, leads his flock to hope and religious ecstasy in the promise of the Second Coming.  In this slice of life novel, the reader follows Bobby as he experiences the human condition and adult hypocrisy. Bobby is a lonely individual who experiences despair when he feels desire for a young woman he cannot have. Bobby runs away, fleeing the disaster of his lost hope.   Bobby’s life sinks to its lowest point when he finds himself homeless in San Francisco.  But he finds love and redemption when he meets Stephanie.

THE HIDDEN HATRED by J. Mary Deitch

This is the story of a phenomenon that appears to be universal—how social pressure, combined with the perception of traditional values, can lead a young man to react in the extreme. Two peaceful African parents discover that four of their five children are homosexual. A dreadful and devastating storm in their social world sweeps everything away and leaves Jean-Noël, their last son, filled with hatred. As far as Jean Noel is concerned the media is responsible for his family’s tragedy. Jean-Noël goes to work as a tour guide in a renowned natural reserve. He believes that he has managed to overcome the negative feelings he has about the media.  But a chance encounter with Rocky Butten, a famous Hollywood filmmaker, who travels to Africa for vacation,  changes the course of Jean Noel’s life forever.
