She also recently published an article in Harvard Business Review on Why Curiosity Matters - The Business Case for Curiosity. Brian Ardinger, Inside Outside Innovation founder, talks with Francesca, about when rule breaking happens and what happens to people that do it successfully.\\n\\nCuriosity\\nCuriosity is an important driver behind the experience of rule breaking.\\xa0\\nWe are born with lots of curiosity, but it starts declining at five years old.\\xa0\\nWhen people join new jobs, they have high curiosity, but in 9 months, their curiosity has dropped 20%.\\xa0What can companies do to keep that high?\\n\\nWhat can organizations do to support curiosity?\\n- Change the mindset about what curiosity can do.\\xa0\\n- Good for business and leaders to model behavior. Ask What if we changed \\u2026\\n- Hard to know what outcomes of questions are.\\xa0As How and What questions.\\n\\nAre there different ways to measure curiosity?\\n- Intuit has innovation and failure awards (lessons learned and comes with a party).\\n- Wake for Startups ending\\n- A company gave 1 hr for lunch and 1 hr for culture.\\xa0Then opened a library in the manufacturing plant.\\xa0\\n\\nRebel Talent\\n- People who challenge rules for positive change\\n- Talents include curiosity, novelty, perspective, diversity, and authenticity.\\n- You can foster each trait.\\xa0Releasing a sculpture from a block.\\xa0Don\\u2019t have to be born a rebel, but bring those traits out.\\xa0\\n\\nCan curiosity be effective in moving an organization forward?\\xa0\\n- Thoughtfulness by leaders.\\xa0\\n- Develop Performance Goals and Learning Goals.\\xa0\\n\\nObstacles to overcome?\\n- Leadership level.\\xa0Sense of fear.
