"Janell has overcome many obstacles in her life including teenage pregnancy, homelessness, physical, emotional and sexual abuse, as well as serious bouts of depression and anxiety. Her mother was addicted to drugs until her adult years and her father was never a part of her life.  These circumstances left Janell with very low self-esteem, which affected her decisions making abilities.  That was until one of her most memorable Blessed Encounters occurred in 1996.  She was pregnant and homeless, when group of strong, educated and loving Christian women, who founded a non-profit organization for young single mothers, took her under their wings.  They opened their hearts and homes to her.  They showed her so much unconditional love that it frightened her. She couldn’t understand how complete strangers could be so kind and shower her with so much love, support and encouragement.  She believes that her encounter with these women was divinely orchestrated.
