Find out by listening to OC Talk Radio Public Affairs Director Dawn Kamber’s interview with Orange County Child Abuse Prevention Council Member Katherine Hamel. The Orange County Child Abuse Prevention Council is convened by the nonprofit, The Raise Foundation, which is dedicated to stopping the cycle of abuse through education, advocacy, community collaboration, and comprehensive services for families and children. Hamel is a previous recipient of The Raise Foundation’s Champion of Children award. She defines child abuse and talks about how we can participate in Blue Ribbon (Child Abuse Prevention) Month in April and its theme “Speak Up, Save a Child.” Only on OC Talk Radio, Orange County’s only Community Radio Station which streams live from the University of California-Irvine's BEALL APPLIED INNOVATION CENTER.
