The Concrete Cracks

b'Glynn reflects on his days laying concrete and its apparent permanence until the cracks show and then the flowers growing through them. \\n\\n"Flowers are fragile, to be handled with tenderness and care. Unlike concrete you don\\u2019t have to be physically strong to hold a flower. Although, sometimes, the strength to be different is needed.\\n\\nFlowers are visually and fragrantly beautiful. They are often riotous in their colour and gaiety. Concrete doesn\\u2019t do beautiful. It doesn\\u2019t do riots, colour, or gay either."
