Cayley Miranda Schmid is a teacher, performer, and event organizer who has been based in Bellingham, WA for twenty-five years. She runs the Bellingham Folk Festival and Bellingham Irish Festival, teaches individual and group lessons for fiddle players of all ages, and performs with bands, Polecat and Giant\\u2019s Causeway.

Cayley has accomplished many impressive projects and has achieved this by following a simple formula: putting her interest at the center of her curiosity and building upon that "interest foundation" a remarkable outcome that, not only serves her personal and professional growth, but serves the artistic evolution of the many who study with her as well as the community that engages in the various events she organizes.
