b'Anthony Avery is an independent artist in the DMV Area. He was born in Camp Springs, MD. When he was 8 his family moved to Albuquerque,NM where he spent a large portion of his youth until they returned to Maryland in 2004. Exposure to different locations and cultures helped him to have a very wide taste in music as well as an open view on life and people. He began studying music at the age of 10 and since has sung with various choirs, groups and ensembles ranging from show choir,r&b and rock groups,to church and other gospel choirs. Anthony upon his return to Maryland was fortunate to learn under the leadership of some great names in gospel music including Brent Jones,Ernest Pugh,Keith Williams, and Dr. Wesley Boyd an original Richard Smallwood singer who first introduced him on a serious level to gospel music.

It also during this time that his family returned back to his home church of Ebenezer A.M.E. in Ft. Washington,MD and he saw himself grow exponentially in his relationship with God. As an adult, Anthony sang with various groups, choirs and artists most notably he sang as a member of Morgan State University Choir under the direction of Dr. Eric Conway and also served as the director and co-founder of Voices of Praise Gospel Choir based out of Morgan State University. Having spent most of his life "learning by living" he has found a very unique message and ministry that hits close to home. He strives to reach the Christians that don\'t quite fit the mold of your usual church goer or the traditional worshiper. Through his eclectic sound he hopes to reach those who share a strong passion and love for God and all of his people. He continues to believe that music is but one of many tools God uses to reach his people and just like God, music has no limits to what it can do for the body of Christ.'
