Emelia Adjei is from Ghana \\u2013 West Africa. She migrated to the United States with hopes and dreams for a better life. Leaving her motherland was an escape from the emotional and verbal abuse she endured in a home with no love living with a step-mother. Her new life in a foreign country was very bumpy with lots of challenges. Being stranded for days with no place to live, she learnt how to manage sleeping in a small dining area across from a kitchen. She persevered and became independent through hard work, focus and determination.

Despite the many setbacks in her life, one of which was a health condition which made her depressed for years, and she gave up on life and her dreams. Her faith in God helped her to regain strength and hope to push forward and stay optimistic.

Emelia is thankful and humbled by the opportunities and blessings God has given her. Her goal is to inspire, inform, transform and make a difference in the lives of others.\\xa0 Emelia is excited and optimistic about the future and so should you.
