Episode 71: Black vs Melanin

Published: May 14, 2020, 10 a.m.

As a black male I have experienced injustices. I have thought about why, been mad at the world, hated others and wanted to change everyone's perception of what being black signified. At times, I have been glad my name is James instead of Mufasa and stopped speaking Ebonics although it is a creative form of expression that I had grown fond of  Lol JK.   I know race is a touchy subject but I wrote a poem to someone who may not understand how special they are by being blessed with more melanin in their skin than others. Wear it proudly and stop trying to convince people you matter that don't give AF. Show the world your brilliance. Radiate the world with your beauty. "Love"

I am beauty
