Harris County, Texas - July 24, 2020, Umair A. Parler, the People-driven social platform, is criticizing Twitter and the Cancel-Mob, with which it has a longstanding codependent relationship. Both have rushed to judgment with respect to the conduct of a conservative male teenager, Kyle Rittenhouse. The offending tweet, by independent journalist and privacy activist Cassandra Fairbanks, consisted of a single short sentence: “Kyle Rittenhouse did nothing wrong.” According to Twitter, this tweet “incited violence,” and so the publisher locked down Ms. Fairbanks’ account until she removed it.
