Ep 12 - The Impact of Receiving Gratitude Graciously (Attitude with Gratitude)

Published: July 4, 2019, 7 a.m.

Do you struggle receiving thanks? Or compliments? If someone expresses gratitude to you, do you shake it off or struggle with knowing what to say? This week on Attitude with Gratitude, we are discussing how to receive gratitude and why it is so important to do so.

For my entire life, I have struggled with receiving gratitude from others. I believe this comes from wanting to be humble, or perhaps an insecurity, but I know it isn’t a healthy habit. I notice that when I thank others they receive it graciously which makes me feel good as the one who says “thank you”. So why do I have a hard time receiving it myself?

I recently did a little research on this topic and in this episode share with you what I find. I want to be open with my own journey to hopefully help you learn how to receive gratitude yourself. I love the topic of gratitude and reflecting on it every week. It challenges me in my own journey and my own habits and I hope it does for you as well.

This week I invite you to reflect on how you receive gratitude and how you respond to others. If you have any thoughts or tips please join our private Facebook community and share with us your experience. Remember together is better!
