b'In this Sunday’s sermon, Fr. Micah reminds us that we can be easily distracted this time of year—distracted by earthly things that turn our attention away from the significance of the season. He reflects on the phrase, “Christ is the reason for the season,” pointing out how it isn’t just a cliche. Instead, Christ is the reason for every season.

He is the reason for every story of the Old Testament, from the very beginning when Adam was created. He is the reason that the world is structured the way that it is, the earth bearing witness that from death comes life. He is the reason we have desire and will, that we might desire him and choose him over all else. He is, indeed, the very reason we were born.

In response to this great gift, Fr. Micah encourages us to focus on the heavens this season, as the traveling Magi did. He urges us to, along with the shepherds, await with joy and singing the good news that the Shepherd has come. Our God has come to save us. So let us rejoice.'
