We kick off a new series focused on local nonprofits in San Pedro. We want to highlight the capeless heroes who dedicate their time and energy giving back to causes they are passionate about.

Our first guest is a caretaker for the caretakers. Theresa Sardisco started the nonprofit Pedro Pet Pals to help shelters, rescue organizations and animal lovers get the supplies and funding they need. Despite running two businesses, caring for family, and giving to local fundraisers, she\\u2019s dedicated much of her spare time to making sure animal advocates have what they need to continue rescuing  and sheltering animals in need.
