Produced in the United Kingdom in 1951-52 season, but broadcast in the United States... Orson Welles reprises his role of Harry Lime from the popular 1949 film "The Third Man." The radio program was actually a prequel to the film as it depicts the many misadventures of con-artist Harry Lime...but does so in a much lighter tone than that of the film. In the radio series, Harry Lime is a crook, but he has some scruples!. This was the first radio series that was not produced by the BBC, that they broadcast... All 52 episodes were syndicated to radio stations in the U.S. in 1951-52. Harry Lime lives in "The Lives of Harry Lime" Playlist on this podcast.
