With its roots in a Broadway production "What a Life" ... The Aldrich Family was born with Ezra Stone as a high school teenager with a cracking-voice. The show ran from 1939 to April 1953. It was also presented in films, television, and comic books... and of course the opening to each show was mother calling "Hen-reeeeeee! Hen-ree Al-drich!" and responding with a cracking adolescent voice, "Com-ing Mother!. Enjoy this episode "The Big Deal". Henry's father was played by House Jameson and his mother by Katharine Raht. His sister was played mostly by Charita Bauer and his girlfriend... Kathleen, by Mary Shipp. This series can be found in the Soundcloud.com playlist of this podcast "Comedy".
