Rocky Jordan - Valley Of The Dead - July 25, 1951 - Detective Adventure
In the summer of 1951, CBS needed a replacement to fill a timeslot and they chose "Rocky Jordan"... but Jack Moyles who had played Rocky Jordan for several years was not to play the role of Rocky Jordan again. The producers chose George Raft...who always played a rough and tough character. He also had film credits and was a "bigger star" than Jack Moyles, but critics all agreed that when it came to the radio series, Jack Moyles held his own against George Raft in the role of Rocky Jordan.
