Extensive introduction to the series and the show... runs about 3:30 sec followed by the 15 minute episode where Lum 'n Abner try to get the show's sponsor (Horlick Malted Milk) to sell a new invention (1935) a pocket flashlight. They need to raise money to re-open the Jot 'em Down Store. Show was on the air for 22 years, generally 4 to 5 days a week with 15 min to 30 min shows... remarkable achievement for anything in mass media in 1935 and probably unheard of today!
