A historically accurate series produced and directed by Norman Macdonnell... who also produced the "Gunsmoke" series. Great cast, excellent scripts, and historical accuracy made this an extremely popular series for its 41 episode run in 1956 (1 episode was an Audition show) Listeners are asked to keep in mind that this show was produced 65 years ago and references language, phrases, etc. that reflect the late 1870's, the setting of the series. Some of the references to Native Americans in this program are historically accurate to the time period represented, but many are not considered correct by today's standard.
