Crime And Peter Chambers - The Bill Burke Murder Frame up - April 6, 1954- Private Detective Series
A suitable vehicle for Dane Clark, a movie actor who was known for his "tough guy" roles... Crime and Peter Chambers (played by Clark) ran on NBC radio from April to September of 1954. There were a lot of Private Detective series on the airwaves at the time and then there was television, that by 1954, pretty much signaled the end of radio drama... or at least it was going down fast. Movie contracts were more lucrative than radio shows at the time... so Dane Clark moved on. The stories are well done and the character of Peter Chambers certainly fit Dane Clark's film persona.
