It was a Thursday evening, Dec. 13, 1945 when singing sensation, Dinah Shore welcomed comedian Red Skelton to her "Birds Eye Open House" radio program. This series began on CBS on Sept 30, 1943 and moved to NBC in Oct of 1944 and finished its run in May of 1946. Dinah did not go away... just had new shows after Bird's Eye Open House. She continued on radio until 1955 and actually simulcast her TV show with radio in 1955 when her sponsor was Chevrolet... remember the commercial song? "See the USA in your Chevrolet...!" This program features two very funny skits with Red Skelton... one of them as "The Widdle Kid"... good show. This will be in two playlists: "Christmas" and "Musical - Variety -Comedy"
