5 Minute Mystery - Trial By Fire - ca 1950

"Five Minute Mystery" was a syndicated radio program in the early to mid-1950's that was used by local radio stations as a "Filler" when they had some time to kill or perhaps when they needed to advertise some promotion or event that the station was sponsoring. There were elongated breaks within the five minutes when organ music was played so that a voice over could be added to promote something related to the station ... and then "back to our Five Minute Mystery" for the conclusion. Listeners were encouraged to pit their "sleuthing and problem-solving skills" to use to try to figure out "Who did it and why?" all within 5 minutes.
