On December 7th, 1946 the deadliest hotel fire in United States history broke out within the Winecoff Hotel in Atlanta, GA. The aftermath changed fire codes and laws regarding fire safety forever. This episode explores the history of the Winecoff Hotel and the Ellis Hotel, as the building is now known. Also hear archived newspaper articles from 1913-1946.
