WARNING - This episode contains strong themes of an adult nature, including sexually explicit descriptions and language. Please be advised. What is the best way to get what we really want when it comes to sex? Honesty can be extraordinarily difficult when we feel we're at our most vulnerable, yet there are ways to make it easier to talk about. Here with Lyn to share some guidance on the subject is Calandra Balfour, a sex educator and wellness expert.  KEY TAKEAWAYS Relationships are based upon intimacy, but they are held together permanently by a healthy sex life. We should never be afraid or embarrassed to discuss our sexual wants and needs with our partners. Everyone’s wants and needs are different. Therefore, we cannot hope to know what each new partner desires when it comes to sex, based upon our past experiences. Consentual dominance and surrendering can be very arousing for partners as it creates polarity, which in the case of romantic relationships actually generates more passion & attraction. Getting & feeling confident with our sexual desires allows our partners to feel more comfortable and to reciprocate. We must embrace our primal needs and be willing to open ourselves up to share new experiences, if we want to enjoy a long healthy sex life. BEST MOMENTS ‘All of our sexual wants and needs are different’ ‘That’s what creates the passion, the spark and the chemistry…’ ‘I’m very aware that I’ve got to put more 'sex content' into this podcast. I’ve got to live up to the adult warning…’ ‘When someone’s honest about who they are and what they want, that’s really sexy’ VALUABLE RESOURCES Hearts Entwined Podcast Apple Podcasts (iTunes) Spotify Stitcher ABOUT THE GUEST Calandra Balfour is a sex educator and wellness expert, with a background in neuroscience, nutrition, NLP and coaching.
