Masculine & Feminine Attachment Styles - with Fabienne Sandoval

Award winning author and life-coach Fabienne Sandoval, joins Lyn once more to talk more about Attachment Styles and how they link to Masculine and Feminine energy. Fabienne explains that there are three main Attachment Styles and each of these can be linked to healthy / unhealthy Masculine and Feminine energy. This is a fascinating conversation that will empower anyone who is open to understanding themselves by identifying their own current attachment style and energy. KEY TAKEAWAYS Attachment Styles are the way in which people perceive and respond to intimacy in romantic relationships.  There are three Attachment Styles: Anxious - Preoccupation with the other person, more heavily invested in the relationship. Concerned about love being reciprocated (primarily when we're in unhealthy feminine energy) Avoidance - Protecting the self, feeling that we may get hurt. Equating intimacy with a loss of independence. A guarded style (primarily when we're in unhealthy masculine energy) Secure - Comfortable with intimacy. Typically warm and loving. The feeling of security and being safe (primarily when our man's in his healthy masculine energy and we're in our healthy feminine energy) Due to the shifting roles in modern society, women are becoming more accustomed to using their masculine energy, and conversely, men are also becoming more accustomed to using their feminine energy. This creates a 'neutral energy' which can be great for friendships but not so great for romantic relationships. We need the extreme polarities of the masculine and feminine energies to be present to create attraction. If a man feels a woman's exuding masculine energy he's generally not going to be attracted to her. Most of the time, this is not a conscious thing. It is simply felt on an instinctual level. If you are happy in your healthy masculine / feminine energy, then you will be attracted to someone who’s exuding the opposite energy. If you're a woman who wants to exude more healthy feminine energy then relinquishing control and 'letting go' of the need to control is a vital step. Most women are naturally feminine at their core. It’s just that we’ve forgotten how to be our natural feminine selves. We’ll always feel a little outside of our comfort zone if we’re doing something new, but to attract / create true love, it’s highly advisable for women to at least try to live more in their natural healthy feminine energy if they want to bring out more healthy masculinity in their men. BEST MOMENTS ‘You do always typically think that guys are masculine and women are feminine’ ‘Women default into their masculine energy from a sense of needing to protect themselves' ’The unhealthy masculine energy is the one that’s very controlling, domineering and possessive’ ‘It’s the polarisation of energies that creates the passion in relationships’ VALUABLE RESOURCES Hearts Entwined Podcast -Apple Podcasts (iTunes) -Spotify -Stitcher ABOUT THE GUEST Fabienne Sandoval is an award-winning author and life coach.
