Three days after the first National Fentanyl Awareness Day and one day before the Famous Doctor Scanlon Band takes the stage over at Yaphank’s May Day Festival, Blue Point musician Gerry McKeveny comes on-air with Gianna Volpe to discuss losing his 35-year-old son, Travis, to fentanyl-laced drugs last September. The tragedy occured just weeks after six people lost their lives due to such substances across the North Fork and Shelter Island. Travis, also a beloved Long Island musician, will see his final album “From Dublin to Duluth” come to fruition thanks to musicians like his father and Pete Mancini.
