She tells the story of how an anonymous donor made a sizable contribution to the theater after her last appearance on WLIW-FM after letting the listeners know proceeds of ticket sales for the screening of Ukrainian filmmaker Sertgei Loznitsa’s “Maidan” would benefit St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church in Riverhead before dishing deets on some of the films and folks up for an Academy Award ahead of this Sunday’s SHC Oscars watch party where attendees will be able to cast ballots for a prize.
