Christine Clark, Black Sheep Knitworks With supply chain shortages feeding shipping delays ahead of the holidays, Christine Clark of East Hampton’s Black Sheep Knitworks talks home-made woolen works that will make excellent presents, claiming even the greenest knit-worker is capable of making a hat in only three hours, plus Clark’s East End origin story and a bit about beloved – and legendary – Crossroads Music. Vivian Le, East End Food Institute Vivian is new to the East End, but she’s already hard at work helping to run Riverhead’s Indoor Farmer’s Market, which is back this winter in a new location on the corner of 105 & Route 58. On Tasty Tuesday underwritten by Southampton Arts Center, Gianna discusses how Vivian crafted her own major focused on food culture & sustainability through an interdisciplinary bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before finding her way to New York after a stint in California where she was surprised to learn just how rich in farms and fresh food Long Island’s East End is, not to mention its wines. We talk about how the Long Island Wine Council (now marketing itself as Long Island Wine Country) has begun sending a different winery to represent the region at the indoor market each Saturday.
